Adyton Chosen to Help Shape the Military “Base of the Future”
Austin, TX — Adyton has been selected as a finalist in AFWERX’s Base of the Future challenge. The U.S. Air Force initiative is designed to create an installation that leverages advanced technologies to increase agility without sacrificing security. The initiative seeks to develop a culture of innovation and improve the wellbeing of airmen and their families.
AFWERX received a record-breaking 1,500+ submissions from both large and small businesses. With its Mustr solution for mobile-first military workflows, Adyton was one of 92 selected finalists.
Mustr is an advanced software product that makes it fast, simple and secure to manage distributed personnel from any device - and any location - in the world. Its built-in communications tools, automated data collection and flexible deployment model were designed for the high-stakes military environment for defense organizations of all sizes.
With a focus on unlocking mobile workflows for a modern defense force, Mustr enables military installation and tenant leadership to build an infrasructure-agnostic and highly dynamic communications fabric across uniformed and non-uniformed personnel, as well as the broader installation community.
“On behalf of AFWERX and the Department of Defense, we congratulate the teams advancing to the next phase,” said Mark Rowland of AFWERX. “Their contributions are invaluable and have the potential to create game-changing results across the Air Force enterprise.”
“The Air Force has reached a critical point in time where it must assess the enduring strength, resiliency, and efficacy of its installations,” explained Brig. Gen. William H. Kale III, the Air Force director of civil engineers. “Our installations are not sanctuaries, as we continue to compete with near-peer adversaries. Our installations are not immune to severe weather and climate events. Our installations are not modern and must be upgraded to meet the future operating environment and withstand threats across all domains.”
