Secure Direct Messaging Arrives in Mustr

Mustr users can now send private, secure one-to-one or group direct messages.

One of the military’s open secrets is the heavy reliance on unauthorized messaging apps like Signal or WhatsApp. While these tools fill a gap, they fragment operations. Users are forced to "swivel-chair" between official tasks and private coordination, scattering data and risking security.

Since we launched Mustr, an application in Adyton Operations Kit (AOK) for structured communications and personnel management, direct messaging has been the most requested feature. Today, we are proud to announce that Mustr Secure Direct Messaging is here.

Starting today, Mustr users can send private, secure one-to-one or group direct messages within Mustr. Unlike other Mustr messages today (Broadcast, Status Check, RFI), which are leader-to-team by design, DMs enable email-like touch points between leaders and individuals. And unlike unauthorized applications, Mustr Direct Messages are end-to-end encrypted and highly secure, compliant with the Pentagon’s rules, and auditable by leadership.

Users send a DM in Mustr like they would any other message. Mustr DMs will appear in users’ inbox alongside other messages

Mustr DMs will appear in users’ inbox alongside other messages like Status Checks and RFIs.

Download AOK from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and try Mustr Direct Messaging today
